Ok, so, you know how there is that one guy in a couple of your classes that just thinks he is sooo much better than everybody else? How he (or maybe she in your case, but we are talking about me here, not you) is always better at something, or something you do is stupid? Always "one-upping" you. And the two of you used to be friends, but then within a year, they turned into a complete jerk and if you tell them, they go cry in a corner because they can't take criticism and think the world is out to get them. Yeah, well that's Yakov for me. It's almost like he tries to annoy me.
Anyway, enough of the complaints, I've decided to try and discuss it with him in a civilized manner that will minimize the crying-in-the-corneredness (yes, I know that corneredness isn't a word and no, I don't care). All my other attempts have been while I was angry at him and I had to apologize for the yelling and stuff. This doesn't make for very good diplomatic relations so I've decided to go up to him and tell him how he annoys me and ask him to refrain from the one-upping and just have a regular conversation with me. Maybe by doing so, I'll make the situation better for both of us and save our friendship, which, right now, is kind of falling apart. I would like to keep him as a friend, but if he can't have a regular conversation with me, then he's not a real friend. That being said, I'll try this Tuesday and see how it goes down.
